The first Summer Institutes International Program took place in Beijing, China in 2007. Students from the U.S., China, and other countries enjoyed the combination of serious academic pursuits, peers who share their interests and abilities, and the opportunity to visit a city of great historical and cultural significance.  Building on the success of that program, EPGY is expanding the Summer Institutes International Program to three locations for 2008.

Summer Institutes Beijing Program

Beijing is a dynamic city that has been the capital of China intermittently since the 12th century AD, and is currently recognized as the  political and cultural center of China. EPGY will hold two, three-week Summer Institutes sessions in Beijing during Summer 2008.

Summer Institutes Istanbul Program

As the former capital of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires, and spanning two continents, Istanbul is rich with history and cultural flair. EPGY is holding a three-week program in Istanbul on the Boğaziçi University campus.

Summer Institutes Singapore Program

Situated just north of the equator, Singapore is a thriving city-state, and one of the world’s largest ports.  For the last several years, EPGY has held programs for local students in Singapore, and in 2008 this program will expand to offer a three-week Summer Institutes program for students from around the world.
